For any good that I am able to offer, I owe a deep debt of gratitude to my parents; my siblings; my first dance teachers, Livia Vanaver, Susan Slotnick, Julie Lyon Rose, and Nina Jirka; the American Dance Festival; the Ailey School; Bill T. Jones, Janet Wong, and the current and former members of the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company, and many, many more important and unnamed people.

I was a member of the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company from 2009 to 2017. As a member of the Company, I participated in the development of ten evening-length works and was involved with the re-staging and extensive touring of some ofJones’ and Zane’s pioneering duets, including Monkey Run Road (1979), Blauvelt Mountain(1980) and Valley Cottage (1981).

I have had the pleasure of working as a freelance artist with The Francesca Harper Project, Paul Matteson, Erick Montes, Joseph Poulson, and The Vanaver Caravan. I was privileged to be a recipient scholarships from the American Dance Festival in ‘06 and ’08, the Bates Dance Festival, and the Ailey School. In 2013, I was honored with a Princess Grace Award in dance.

My own work has been shown at various small and personable venues around NYC and the SF Bay Area, including FABnyc, Tisch School for the Arts, ODC, SAFEhouse Arts, and The Milkbar.

I’ve taught dance at studios, colleges, and universities around the country. I feel honored to have been encouraged and guided by many wonderful teachers in my own development and seek to facilitate delicious, rich, and heart-full experiences for those who join me for class.
